you instantly get comfy in your bed, open your envelope full of surprises, laugh at a sticker that somehow reads your mind, and realize someone else understands exactly what today has been like.

i built sugar letters because i've been this person too. the one who was lying in her bed after a hard day, wishing something like this could exist. if you've ever felt like you're dealing with diabetes alone, you're exactly who sugar letters is for!

what is sugar letters?

sugar letters is the only mail club specifically for type 1 diabetics, built around the invisible side of living with type 1 diabetes. it’s not clinical, educational, or generic support, it’s the stuff only we understand. the 3am lows where you stumble to the kitchen, the constant food math, the exhaustion that nobody around you sees. it’s something that says: “i see you, i've been there too, and you're not alone.”

how is it different?

every single thing inside sugar letters (with the exception of surprise art prints from fellow t1d artists) is written, illustrated, designed, packed, and shipped by me, a fellow type 1 diabetic of 10 years, and is intentionally designed to make you feel seen and understood.

not only will you find heartfelt letters, but you'll also find playful paper goods built around everyday t1d experiences. they'll be things like fake awards, bingo cards, certificates, punch cards, and other little artifacts that turn the frustrating parts of diabetes into things you can laugh about!

who is it for?

sugar letters is for teens and adults living with type 1 diabetes who want to feel a little less alone.

since these items include more mature emotions and experiences that older teens and adults tend to relate to more, sugar letters is currently recommended for ages 13+. I would love to create a version specifically for younger kids in the future, so stay tuned!

what changes each month?

• 📜 the letter & stickers change with the monthly theme, but the format stays the same (you always get a letter and you always get stickers)

• ⭐ the theme changes every month to explore a completely different part of living with type 1 diabetes. one month might be about the invisible mental load, the next might be traveling with t1d, unpredictable blood sugars, burnout, holidays, dating, exercise, or anything else we've all experienced. each envelope is its own little world!

the nitty gritty details

• 📝 sign up deadline: sign up by august 20th to receive the august drop which ships august 25th. after that, sign up by the 20th of any month to receive that month's envelope that ships out on the 25th. if you sign up after the 20th, your first envelope ships the following month instead.
• 📦 shipping: all envelopes ship by the 25th of each month. shipping is not tracked, so timing is always a bit of an estimate (the beauty of a mail club in the wait!) USA orders typically arrive within 1-2 weeks of the ship date, and international orders typically arrive within 2-4 weeks.
• 💳 billing: your first charge happens immediately at checkout. after that, you're automatically charged on the same date every month.
• 💫 cancelling: you can cancel anytime through your customer portal. to avoid being charged for the following month, cancel before your monthly billing date. just go to the sugar letters website --> click the account icon --> enter the email you used at signup to receive a login code --> click on "manage subscription."
• 🌍 international orders: international orders may be subject to customs fees depending on your country, and sugar letters isn't responsible for those charges.
• ↩️ refund policy: all sales are final. however, if your mail hasn't arrived after 3 weeks (USA) or 6 weeks (international), email hello@sugarlettersmail.com and i'll send you a new envelope free of charge!

not at all! sugar letters is about the emotional side of living with type 1 diabetes, and we all experience that whether we've been diagnosed for three days or thirty years.

can i gift sugar letters to someone else? 

of course! sugar letters is a really meaningful gift for anyone living with type 1 diabetes. just enter their name + shipping address in the shipping details section when you check out.

how do i join the sugar letters discord? 

after you check out, you'll receive an email with the link to join. if you don't see the email, check your spam, junk, & promotions folders since it may be hidden there. if you still can't find it, email hello@sugarlettersmail.com and i'll send you the link!

can i cancel anytime?

why isn't shipping tracked?

tracking a letter is costly, and i want to keep sugar letters as affordable as possible for you!
